Our Aims We aim to be an asset to our local community and to help others to replicate our project elsewhere. Our overall aims are summed up below:
Providing benefits to the Community One example of a practical delivery of our aims in the community was the provision of a replacement bench for walkers at Bridge 40 on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (Gillibrands Bridge)
Cllr Mrs May Blake and Marathon Runner Mr David Gallagher at Bridge 40 The Youth club were contacted by Cllr Mrs May Blake and asked if they could help to provide a replacement bench, as the existing one had been removed due to vandalism. The youth Club agreed and funded the construction and fitment of the bench shown above. It was built and installed by Rufford Woodworking in October 2009 Projects such as these will increase as the Community Coffee Bar raises more funds from trading. It is our intention to be a Nett provider of funds and resources into our local community and beyond. The young people take responsibility for their community and see its needs as their needs.
